Entry 28--AKA: "A twenty-eight to look forward to."

I have to attend classes on my birthday this year (the 28th of May for those who were uninformed). I was pretty bummed when I realized this.

However, I found out today that in one of my literature classes (Arthurian Romances) we are watching a movie that day. None too shabby. Even better, there is an affidavit on the syllabus regarding the movie:

Thu May 28:
Screening of John Boorman's Excalibur (1981)
NOTE: This film does have a couple of fairly graphic sexual situations and violence. If you are a conscientious objector, please feel free to leave the room during these sequences, though do so quietly. Please come speak to me if this a major concern for you.

I am so very amused that, on my birthday, we are watching a movie that has both sex and violence, AND it might offend people. NIIICE.

To top off the delicious hilarity of it all, the movie was released in 1981--my year of birth. Yep, this was meant to be...

Thanks for reading.
